Speaker: Kunal Mukherjee

Date & Time: Wednesday, 14th of May, 2014, 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Location: Microsoft New Zealand, Level 12, 157 Lambton Quay Wellington

Topic: “Integrate CRM to Sharepoint to meet your DMS needs”

Description:

One of the strengths of CRM is its tight integration into the Microsoft stack of technologies.  Sharepoint as a document management system is one of the things CRM integrates into easily.  We are lucky enough to have a Sharepoint expert to share his experiences in getting Sharepoint and CRM to live together in perfect harmony.  Kunal Mukherjee is a Sharepoint developer at Intergen and previously worked for Microsoft in India as a Sharepoint developer there.  Come and gain the benefit from his experiences both in India and here in New Zealand.

Since working at Intergen, Kunal has had experience on several projects where the clients have wanted CRM and Sharepoint to work together.  This is a common request from people that invest in the Microsoft stack.  Just how easy is it and can you see a benefit from integrating these two important systems back at your own workplace?

Kunal will take us through the out-of-the-box connection points from Sharepoint to CRM.  This is purely a configuration approach that we can all appreciate and potentially use.  Kunal will also touch on the Business Connectivity Services which involves a small amount of development to get running. And finally Kunal will show us the approach of building web services to connect Sharepoint and CRM.  He will explain the differences between the three approaches so you know when you should consider using the standard connector, when you might need more options for greater flexibility.  Useful things to know when planning your CRM to DMS requirements.

Speaker: Thomas Faulkner

Date & Time: Wednesday, 9th of April, 2014, 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Location: Microsoft New Zealand, Level 12, 157 Lambton Quay Wellington

Topic: “CRM and Azure integration

Description:

Come and listen to Thomas Faulkner share the benefit of his experience in working with CRM in the Azure space. Windows Azure is Microsoft Cloud based platform and something Microsoft sees as a big part of the future of IT.  More and more of our infrastructure is becoming cloud based and integration between different cloud services, and integration between cloud services and on-premise applications, is getting harder to avoid.

We will explore how to set up integration using Azure Service Bus Queues and Relays, delve into and get our hands dirty writing some code to see how things work behind the scenes and explore some demonstrations on how one might use this technology.  This talk is aimed both at Architects and Decision Makers who need to understand the challenges of an approach like this, as well as Developers and IT Pros who want the nitty gritty details.

Thomas is a developer at Intergen and in his first year there won the coveted prize as Intergen Newcomer of the Year. Let him take you on his recent journey of discovery in building up an integrated cloud-based offering of several different services with CRM Online and Azure at its heart.
