Intro:

We are excited to announce the expansion of our Microsoft Dynamics User Group to Christchurch, New Zealand.

The community based Microsoft Dynamics User Group started in Wellington on 22nd June 2008. With relentless support from the local community, Microsoft Dynamics team in New Zealand, and the Microsoft Developer Platform Evangelism team in New Zealand, we have fostered a network of over 120 professionals that work with Microsoft Dynamics suite of products and their related technologies over the past two years. They come from local Microsoft Dynamics ISV, IS partners, as well as local Microsoft Dynamics customers in both public, private sectors.

We would like to take this opportunity to re-iterate the user group’s goals and target audience.

Goals:

Through this user group, we are hoping to:

  • Raise awareness of the Microsoft Dynamics Business Solutions suite of products in the local Microsoft Dynamics communities and beyond.
  • Share knowledge and experience in using and developing with the Microsoft Dynamics Business Solutions suite of products. We’ll cover best practices in using, customizing and developing solutions, lessons learnt, preview forthcoming features or releases, and more.
  • Foster a network of contacts with particular Microsoft Dynamics product skills who can be called upon for resolving issues and raising awareness in the local Dynamics space.

Target audience:

  • Technical people who develop, customize and configure Dynamics products.
  • Business users who use Dynamics products in their work.
  • Business decision makers who want to know the business benefits in using Dynamics.

Inaugural session:

Presenter: Stewart Gibbs, Manager, Microsoft Dynamics New Zealand

Topic: A lap around Microsoft Dynamics product suite.

Description: Stewart Gibbs is a true industry veteran in the ERP  systems space. He has had 20 years of experience with ERP systems ranging from JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics. In this session, Stewart will briefly discuss and compare the offerings from the big players in the ERP systems market and lead into a deeper dive into the Microsoft Dynamics suite of products; ERPs and CRM.
